We have had a wonderful weekend and today I have had a hard time getting motivated and I was wishing for one more day...before the week started, but Monday came. Today I thought I would touch on...
BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS
No I am not a professional relationship builder, but I try to keep in touch with family and friends and I think it is important for all of us to have long and lasting relationships with our family and friends. One of the things that John and I try to do with our girls is spend one on one time with each child. This can be challenging and has been for us, but the rewards far out weigh the challenges. We do simple things like take them for ice cream, rent movies, or take them to the library to check out a book or movie. The girls love their individual time and we really try to have " daddy/daughter dates" and you can do this with your sons too. As a mother I have found this time very enjoyable and I love to see each childs personality. With the girls I find my individual time is spent reading stories, cleaning their rooms together, making crafts, tickle time, playing toys, and one of my all time favorites is cooking together. So today look up a old friend on facebook and get back in touch. Send a card to a family member or friend. Where is the phone? Go look up a friend or family member you have not talked to in a while and give them a ring....you will be GLAD you did. In honor of the LOVE BUG month (valentines day) BUILD A NEW OR OLD RELATIONSHIP!!!!!!
