OH YEAH, Motivational Monday! We have had a busy day of chores and play. Tonight we had a night on the town at DQ and a chat in the car about the Holy Ghost. Then we rented movies for a late night tonight.
So tonight I just thought I would share about EATING HEALTHY...
I have been trying to get back on track after the holidays and thought this post would help ME get back on track. I really do enjoy food and I know in the past I have struggled with emotional eating and I have had to work on that. I think I have done well though becasue I have maintained my weight loss for a year now.
Over the holidays I found it hard to not eat all the goodies, so I just did any way and enjoyed it. I did try and make sure my portions were small and that helped to not gain a lot back.
So the eating plan that I have followed and it has helped me a ton and I love the recipes is THE SOUTH BEACH DIET. This shows you how to eat smaller portions, and more frequent meals.
My plan is:
Breakfast
Snack
Lunch
Snack
Dinner
Snack
I eat a lot of eggs, white cheeses, tomato juice, lunch meat, fruit, veggies, whole wheat breads and crackers, chicken, turkey, pork, nuts, sugar free jello, pudding, ice cream. 1% milk, yogurt, olive oil and canola oil. This is just some of the list. I will post some of my favorite recipes soon. The South Beach also has a cook book and the recipes are delicious. One other thing is I try and drink lots of water through out the day I always have my water bottle handy.
I know my new eating habits have had a big impact on my life. It has given me more energy to enjoy playing with my kids and my cravings are not as bad as they used to be. I have been reading another book about living a healthy lifestyle it is called: " Tip A Day Guide For Healthy Living" by Melanie Douglass. This book has been a fun and informative book to read. I have enjoyed the tip a day and it is great to learn some new tips.
